Frequently Asked Questions
Q. How do I get one of your puppies?
- We open our deposits once we have a confirmed breeding with our dogs. If it’s the dogs first litter we may wait until we have ultrasounds before accepting deposits. Please fill out this Questionnaire if you’re wanting a puppy.
Q. Do you have Contracts?
- Yes we do! Before any puppies leave a contract must be signed between parties. Contracts will be sent out once inquiries are received and deposits are taken.
Q. Are your Goldens registered?
- Yes! Our puppies are registered with either UKC or AKC.
Q. Do you do health testing on your dogs?
- Absolutely! We do both genetic health testing either through Embark or Pawprints to ensure we are not breeding any dogs that will pass on genetic diseases. We also ensure our dogs pass OFA of hips, elbows, eyes and heart.
- If you would like to see a copy of the certifications please contact us if they are not listed on the Adult Dogs page. Sometimes we forget to update the page.
Q. Do you sell puppies for service dog work?
- Absolutely! We are slowly gearing our program to be focused on service dogs, especially for Veterans but anyone needing a service dog please don’t hesitate too ask. We can’t guarantee every litter will have all service dog prospects but we usually get several that would succeed quite well in the service dog world. Please speak to your trainer to evaluate puppies!
Q. Can we come meet the puppies before we place a deposit?
- No at this time visits are closed. We had a parvo scare a while back. So for the safety of our puppies that are unvaccinated and any upcoming litters we limit visits to puppy go home. However we are happy to schedule a zoom/video call if you’d like to meet us in person and see the dogs. We understand the fear around scams.
Q. How big will my puppy be as an adult?
- On average they will be between 55-75 pounds though it’s possible to have some smaller and some larger.
Q. I already own one dog, can I bring them to meet the puppies?
- Unfortunately no you can not. For the safety of our puppies we do not let unknown dogs come meet them. We don’t want any accidental injuries to family dogs or our puppies.
Q.What payment methods do you accept?
- We currently accept Cash, Zelle and Venmo. No personal checks will be accepted.
Q.What is the cost of your puppies?
- Currently they are $2800 + state tax per puppy but price is subject to change and the listed price for available litters is the current price.
Q. What is included with the purchase of a puppy?
- AKC and/or UKC registration papers, A bag of dog food for your puppy, a toy and the veterinarian records. It may also include litter pedigrees, and some basic pet/training information as well.
Q. how do I pick my puppy?
- At 8 weeks on the day they go home you will come and pick your puppy. We currently sell by order of deposits, though we will take into account what your looking for and will help steer you towards the puppies we think are most appropriate for you. At the end of the day we want you to find your perfect companion.
- Please follow us on social media to watch these littles grow up and see the life of their parents!
Q. I live out of state do you ship?
- While we do not personally ship we are happy to coordinate with a puppy nanny or meeting you at an airport so that you can have your best friend. We can pick a puppy for you should you tell us what you’re looking for in your companion.
Q. Why don’t your dogs have titles?
We are a very small operation that only has so much time in the day. We would absolutely love to get titles on all of our dogs but we currently don’t have the time. Partially due to some major medical issues that limits Lindsey’s mobility as she gets used to her new limitations she is going to try to get titles on the dogs if she can.
- We do not want to send our dogs out to another trainer to get titles. We love each and every one of our dogs and often in order to get titles (especially hunting) it requires sending the dog off for a minimum of 6 months.
Q. Do you offer 1 on 1 lessons or board and train still?
- Unfortunately due to a serious injury Lindsey can no longer offer board and train or 1 on 1 lessons. We hope to one day be able to offer those services again but the timeline is unknown at this time.
- She is very happy to help you via zoom lessons however and she will do her best to walk you through how to train your pup or answer any questions you may have about puppy development!
